Praise the Lord for his provision through the help of people from the Pittsburgh area and Dr. Daniel Lattanzi's motivation. The grain mill is located near the Community of Hope.
For years, Pastor Pierre watched with sorrow as people pounded their millet with mortar and pestle. Sometimes they were too weak to do it, and then they did not eat. Now they have a mill to process their grain.
The only source of water used to be a filthy creek where animals and humans both used the water. It is no wonder the people were getting sick from drinking the water! The mission has drilled 12 wells in villages and looks forward to drilling more in other villages as money becomes available. As a result of these wells, the health of the people is greatly improved.
Patti and David Fisher have initiated a project designed to provide cleaner drinking water. Working with "Pure Water for the World" bio-sand filters are being placed around the community. They are designed to filter out pathogens and impurities to provide cleaner drinking water.
